The most important essays and articles in a new edition In this volume of János Pilinszky's oeuvre, we can read the poet's essays and newspaper articles. From decades of selected writing, we learn about the basics and major motives of gospel aesthetics and which works and creators, issues, and phenomena occupied Pilinszky intensely and recurringly. With the title of his own series, his lyrical diary alternates between confessions and meditations, book, theater and film reviews, travelogues and recollections. Pilinszky seems to be talking to us. As he writes in one of his texts, "Before I fall asleep, I wake up at dawn or even elbow myself at a coffee shop table. I regularly find myself talking to anyone. But with whom? " The book also contains some writings that have not yet been published in volume.
